Hi Sophia,
I am having a hard time figuring out which states allow us to practice independently AND be able to prescribe scheduled drugs based on company requirements. For example I paid the licensing amount for my Arizona license and when I applied for a telehealth position, they said they wanted me to prescribe schedules 2-5. Well Arizona BON only gives NP’s the ability to prescribe schedules 3-5. See my problem? It’s like we need a spreadsheet for independent practice states that also list the BON schedules that we are allowed to prescribe. I would gladly apply for as many state licenses that I need, but the BON’s and telehealth companies require different things.
Yeah i don’t prescribe controlled substances via telemedicine. I know the requirements are different for psych.
